Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for recruiting vacant positions and on-boarding new hires. This includes managing online job postings and social media listings, and working closely with each candidate to ensure a smooth onboarding process through BambooHR. The candidate will provide support in other functional areas of Human Resources, including personnel records management, employee relations, compensation management, benefits administration, and training.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources and/or Recruiting, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business, or closely related field.
- Strong technology skills needed (including intermediate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,) with the overall ability to quickly learn and utilize various software programs.
- Must be highly organized, proactive and detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to meet Immigration Reform Act of 1986 requirements.
- Must have valid California Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance company.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Paycom payroll management platform and/or similar payroll platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity or prior experience using BambooHR a plus.

Essential Functions/Skills
Human Resources Recruiter:
- Assists the Director of Human Resources with managing the recruitment workflow in BambooHR, including; posting jobs andevaluatingcandidates, processing background checks, health exams, live scan fingerprinting, EPStaff check, creating and submission of Offer Letters.
- Administers Talent Pipeline by coordinating applicants in BambooHR.
- Posts job advertisements on various job boards and social media sites and maintains directory of all advertising venues, including College and State boards.
- Creates/runs reports as needed.
- Participates in phone interview process and schedules in-person interviews.
- Conducts reference checks as needed.
- Coordinates college recruiting program and participates in job fairs.
Human Resources Generalist:
- Assist in facilitating, processing and onboarding new hires through orientation process.
- Assist with on-boarding process of Interns and work study students.
- Oversee and maintain the employee personnel, payroll, benefit and confidential files in accordance with federal and state requirements.
- Assist on administering and managing all employee benefits enrollments, changes and termination of coverage.
- Manage employee Benefits spreadsheet
- Assist in facilitating the Open Enrollment process online
- Review health benefit invoices
- Revise or create blank forms for organization management use
- Other duties/projects as assigned by Director
- Communicate effectively in a manner that promotes trust and cooperation
