HR Generalist & Recruiting Support - Temp to Hire

This is a Temp to Hire opportunity

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under minimal supervision, performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and performs responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employment practices and procedures, compensation, employee relations, and training.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have experience with Paycom system processing new hires, onboarding, talent acquisition, and benefits selection.     Position can work remotely.

  • Maintains knowledge of and assists with implementation of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions, ensuring that policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.*
  • Act as main HR point of contact for TRISTAR's wellness program.*
  • Handle Transfer requests and candidate referrals.*
  • Coordinate interview scheduling of candidates with the corporate recruiters. *
  • Updates policies as needed.
  • Processes change of status requests (salary, title, supervisor, address, etc.)
  • Keep IT notified of relevant changes i.e. position title.
  • Assist in conducting new employee orientation. *
  • Collects and reviews new hire paperwork.
  • Enter Employee information in HRB (except benefit portion)
  • E-Verify
  • SSN verification
  • Consultants to management in hiring, recruiting, employee relations, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and anti-sexual harassment. *
  • Responds to EDD Claims
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. *
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. *
  • Administers and tracks performance and salary review programs with managers to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization. * 
  • Manages and tracks required Sexual Harassment Training. Ensures training is meeting state guidelines.
  • Spearheads termination paperwork process.
  • Creates and sends termination paperwork.  
  • Conducts exit interview as appropriate.
  • Ensures timely delivery of final check and paperwork.  
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related termination documents. 
  • Performs both written and verbal employment verifications.  
  • Prepares reports as needed.
  • Manages other special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:  Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred); three (3) to five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   HS Diploma or GED required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:        

  • Knowledge of human resources functional areas, including employment related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports from Paycom system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
