Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic HR Manager to lead our client’s Human Resources team in Winamac. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Lead/Manager in a manufacturing environment. This role requires someone who can handle high-level HR work while also being hands-on. The HR Manager will oversee one Senior HR Generalist and will be responsible for managing HR operations across three offices within a 10-mile radius. Work hours are from 8 am to 4 pm.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Lead/Manager
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory
- Ability to handle high-level HR work while also being hands-on
- Bachelor’s degree is required; however, candidates with over 10 years of HR Management experience may be considered without a Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with unions is a plus, as many employees belong to local unions
- Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines for multiple office locations.
- Provide guidance and support to the Senior HR Generalist, overseeing their day-to-day activities and ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
- Manage HR operations, including workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Collaborate with department heads to address HR-related issues and support organizational goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives, if applicable.
