What You'll Do:
As the Accounting Manager/ Controller, you will research, develop, plan, and execute on daily, monthly, and annual Financial, Accounting, HR, Payroll, and IT initiatives to ensure related business and financial goals are met or exceeded.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Develops, leads and executes all finance, accounting, payroll, human resources and outsourced IT functions to meet company goals.
- Oversees all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
- Leads, coaches and develops employees to continual growth in their skills, accountabilities and job functions.
- Manages internal controls and safeguards to ensure accurate receipt of revenue and expenditures.
- Compiles financial statements and coordinates all activity with auditors for accurate reporting and preparation of tax returns.
- Analyzes and prepares cost accounting, financial data, and other reports to ensure financial goals are on track; provides information to management on variances and opportunities for correction to meet financial goals.
- Prepares annual budgeting based on forecasts in sales and expenses to be able to track monthly status against budgeting.
- Analyzes Company's cash flow for upcoming expenditures and monitors/applies line of credit as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive general accounting and financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of human resource functions, payroll, budgeting and cost accounting is a plus.
- Certification(s): CPA and/or CMA certifications are preferred.
- Functional Skills: Strong general accounting, financial analysis, manufacturing labor cost accounting, and cash reconciliation skills are required. Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and review large amounts of data to analyze trends, solid problem-solving and reasoning capabilities, and reporting/summation skills are also required. Detail oriented with excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills are also important for this role.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong expertise in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate with all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong leadership and internal customer focus; self-starter with high initiative, able to work independently and make an impact for the business. Collaborative, with an excellent ability to ask solid questions and support process improvement activities. Other Important Information:

Core Hours: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm (schedule is flexible; will work approx. 8 - 8.5 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average
