Job Description
Responsible for all Human Resources and Administration functions, including payroll, onboarding, termination, benefits, performance management; training; premise projects; and office maintenance. Also responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies; providing a full range of HR support to Branch’s management; coordinating with Head Office; providing HR support to all branch’s staff and counsel employees on all employment issues.
• Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including:
o Recruitment including selecting recruiters, preparing job description, interviewing, evaluation, pre-screening, background checks and on-boarding.
o Time keeping, collecting and processing time-off forms, ensuring accurate records are kept.
o Payroll preparation and processing, using ADP TotalSource.
o Annual review of benefits, making recommendations to management.
o Counsel, discipline and termination
o Performance management and performance counseling.
• Provide advice and consultation services to management on all Human Resources and employee relations issues.
• Ensure adherence to nondiscriminatory practices and compliance with Federal and State Labor Laws (EEO, COBRA, ERISA, OSHA, Wage & Hour Law, USERRA, etc.)
• Ensure consistent practices and procedures are adhered to regarding employee confidentiality and maintenance of accurate and current personnel records.
• Act as primary contact with employment legal counsel and external government agencies.
• Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures for employment, benefits, compensation, training, manpower planning, employee relation, etc. in compliance with bank policies and US laws and regulations.
• Develop management skills through consulting and coaching line personnel in the areas of conflict resolution, cross cultural management, team building and communication.
• Manage premise projects, office maintenance, mail processing, reception area coverage and all requests involving building staff.
• 5 years of professional level HR experience
• College degree (in HR – preferred but not essential)
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
