Job Description
We are seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Boston area. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with speech and language needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other school staff.
Responsibilities:
- - Implement speech and language therapy services for students as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- - Assist the SLP with assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
- - Use evidence-based interventions and techniques to support students' speech and language development
- - Collaborate with other school staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers, to support student's academic and social-emotional needs
- - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior
- - Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities as required
Requirements:
- - Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- - Massachusetts SLPA licensure
- - Knowledge of speech and language therapy techniques and interventions
- - Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances
- - Strong organizational and time-management skills
- - Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff
