An employee in this position can expect a starting rate between $85,000 to $95,000 annually. We are located right off exit 26 on Interstate 580- just 6 miles south of the Reno-Tahoe Airport!

As a Human Resources Manager, you are responsible for leading all HR processes, programs, and policies including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment, performance management, succession planning and learning & development. You proactively communicate issues, trends and risks to support partners and the HR team to identify solutions and cultivate an engaged work environment. You are an advocate for all our employees and ensure that all concerns are properly handled and investigated. As a manager, you guide and influence leaders on appropriately handling employee concerns to align with our core values. You identify trends and lead proactive efforts to improve the employee experience. You build successful relationships across the organization, developing a detailed understanding of the business needs so that viable recommendations can be made to drive the company forward.
- Partner with leadership teams to ensure employees are engaged, retained, and invested in, creating a positive workplace resulting in a high level of employee morale and engagement.
- Own the employee life cycle from on-boarding and orientation of new employees through development and succession planning.
- Use Exit Interview data to evaluate trends, identify and communicate issues for solution and develop strategy to build employee engagement to reduce turnover and retain employees.
- Support the facilitation of talent review meetings to help assess potential talent ratings and employee readiness.
- Conduct employee roundtables consistently, identifying and recommending solutions to ensure a positive workplace.
- Provide counsel on all employee relations situations, guiding leaders on decisions for resolution to ensure consistency and fairness in resulting actions, partnering on all documentation.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues with urgency, partnering appropriately with senior director.
- Knows our policies and supports consistency by following and ensuring that leaders understand procedures and standards.
- Meet with leaders to determine recruitment needs, inform senior director and partner to ensure the HR team know the hiring plan and the process to ensure hiring is timely including but not limited to, job postings, job fairs, onboarding, orientation, talent gateway, etc.
- Ensure the HR team is up to date on all requisitions in Talent Gateway and follow up to obtain necessary approvals.
- Oversee the HR team is timely and appropriate in executing the recruitment, interviewing and onboarding processes, ensuring an optimal candidate experience.
- Build your team through engagement, motivation and coaching; assess performance and address any issues proactively and timely.
- Oversee and create activities and initiatives to support and engage employees including but not limited to: Summer BBQ, Flu Shots, Year-End/Holiday events, service award recognition program and other training events.
- Partner with Learning and Development and senior director on training initiatives, conduct training classes as needed.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment.
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4-6 years of HR experience.
- Sound understanding of all HR and people processes.
- Demonstrated recent knowledge of employment law and employee relations best-practices.
- Proven presentation skills.
- Proven ability to make thoughtful and correct decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and understandably.
- Has excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, some project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
