- Provides supervision (e.g., directs employee’s work activities, assigns work tasks & oversees day to day activities; conducts job evaluations; recognizes outstanding efforts; takes corrective actions and disciplines (following the Discipline Without Punishment, DWP Model); guides, mentors, and trains staff.
- Serves as a leader in Human Resources. Provides technical advice on personnel matters to administrators and employees; interprets and explains policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreement to ensure compliance.
- Conducts quarterly personnel policy/procedure reviews and makes recommendations to Leadership regarding suggested revisions.
- Responsible for completion of exit and stay interviews of employees with analysis of information to be forwarded to supervisor.
- Responsible for management of the performance appraisal process, including systems, tracking, and filing; ensures all Board employees are evaluated according to Board policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Oversees compliance with applicable rules and regulations, state and federal labor and employment laws (including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and DOL).
- Manages new hire orientation process and makes tentative offers of employment.
- Conducts presentations to employees on various topics regarding orientation, training, health & wellness, DiSC, etc.
- Follows the Discipline Without Punishment Model, sets expectations, mentors, and guides employees. Implements corrective action for significant misconduct or repeated lesser infractions in consultation with HR & Operations Director.
- Manages and resolves complex personnel issues, conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations; oversees employee labor relations.
- Maintains, reviews, analyzes and revises agency position descriptions for job audits and/or time studies for various positions.
- Participates in regularly scheduled salary reviews.
- Creates and conducts various surveys to collect feedback from employees (satisfaction, compliance, acknowledgements, informational surveys, etc.)
- Oversees the use of the agency Health and Wellness portal (BRAVO) and tracks quarterly incentives.
- Serves as a member of the Leadership XL Team. Services as an active committee member for Diversity & Inclusion and The Leadership Challenge.
- Maintains HR information system and compiles reports.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements staff development planning activities for agency staff; including organizing and planning agency orientation.
- Assure compliance with the Board’s time reporting requirements for overtime eligible employees.

Required- Bachelors or better in Human Services
