Job Description
Position: Human Resources Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly production associates to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Resolve workplace conflicts effectively and coach supervisors on improving absenteeism, turnover, and plant efficiencies.
- Conduct informative new hire orientations using approved materials and continuously enhance the orientation process.
- Provide coaching and counseling to supervisors to enhance their leadership skills.
- Assist in conflict resolution for both hourly and salaried personnel while ensuring consistent policy application.
- Manage the Peer Review / Management Review process.
- Identify, develop, and implement strategies to reduce turnover, including training initiatives and policy enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in developing, updating, and auditing Affirmative Action Plans.
- Thorough understanding of I-9 requirements.
- Familiarity with ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations, and current employment law.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry, with expertise in automated timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos).
- Proficiency in conducting new associate orientations.
- Strong commitment to team performance, effective coaching, and collaboration.
