Responsibilities/What you will do:
- Partner with director of people ops and management on compensation plans and changes
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Create onboarding plans, and develop and document improvements in the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist in organizing training & development initiatives
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Partner with People Ops Team around all things performance management
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire, employee turnover rates, and exit survey data
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Administration of engagement survey and survey data analysis
- Assist Director in keeping a pulse on the company culture & engagement through surveys and employee contact
- Drive the DEI program and initiatives at Aspire
- Be the primary liaison with our Global Employment Partners
- Experience with benefit programs, open enrollment, auditing and managing benefits data
- Enhance job satisfaction by being a trusted people partner with a solution-based mindset
- Develop communications, programs, and initiatives that support the Aspire team's wellbeing, while ensuring that they are inclusive and engaging for diverse populations and geographies.
- Maintain and update employee data across systems, databases, and files (with the utmost level of data integrity and confidentiality)
- Provide employee support and respond to general questions regarding company policies, systems, leaves, and benefits with a sense of urgency.
- Partner with the People Operations and Finance Team to design, implement, and improve processes and policies
- Keep a pulse on the organization and develop programs that meet the specific wellbeing needs of the Aspire team
- Partner with our law firms and Carta on Administration of domestic and international stock option grants
- Assist in employee relations resolution
Requirements/You have:
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations
- Knowledge of the benefits administration alphabet (i.e. HSA, FSA, 401k, COBRA, ACA, PPO, EPO, HMO, HIPAA)
- Ideally you've had experience with administering the following HR systems: Culture Amp, Green House, Carta, Rippling, Remote.com
- Highly experienced running end-to end review cycles and performance management programs
- Experience designing and rolling out engagement surveys, pulse surveys, and data analysis
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain data through process and auditing
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (including the ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to HIPAA protected data as appropriate)
- Organizational skills that help you keep up with many vendors and employee requests
- The ability and willingness to ask questions
- Creativity to find news ways to engage employees with our benefit offerings
- An interest in joining a highly collaborative team and taking on miscellaneous tasks and projects, as needed
- Demonstrates a great attitude, and has a solutions-focused, team-player mentality
- Experience designing and implementing processes across all sectors of the HR function
- Experience handling performance management, investigations, and conflict management
- Experience in developing training programs is a bonus
- Experience with payroll, payroll compliance, state registrations, and state payroll tax filings a bonus
- SHRM Certification ideal, but not required
The Expectations:
In your first 30 days, you will review our current benefits offering, systems, processes and be introduced to our external partners including PEOs and insurance brokers. You will begin maintaining our current program and looking for areas to improve. As you take ownership of programs and processes, you'll identify any gaps in documentation and fill those as part of your onboarding.
By your first 60 days, you will have met with colleagues across the company and started building relationships that help you match people ops programs with our culture and organizational needs. You'll be instrumental in the successful roll out and completion of our mid year performance cycle and engagement surveys.
After 3 months, you will be integrated into the team. You will have taken ownership of your role and started working directly with stakeholders. You will have strong relationships with our external vendors and be the front line of wellbeing for Aspire employees.

The base salary for this role is between $90,000 - 125,000/yr.
Our compensation philosophy: we use a market-based approach to compensation. This means we use a series of compensation tools to help us understand how companies value this role in the U.S. market based on function, level, geographic location, and positions benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. To comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards.
