The Human Resources Generalist Business Partner manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office by fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting team members and ensuring that UCHC operates smoothly. Ensures the company attracts, hires and retains the best employees.  

Recruitment Essential Functions

1.          Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections

2.          Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

3.          Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job search locations and job boards.

4.          Creating and refining onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations

5.          Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc.

6.          Screen candidates resumes and job applications

7.          Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule

8.          Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes

9.          Communicate timely and clearly with various hiring managers the status of applicants in the recruitment process.

10.       Support in all matters related to recruitment and on-boarding.

Generalist Essential Functions

11.       Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, promotion letters, and disciplinary actions

12.       Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development

13.       Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records

14.       Creating employee engagement plans.

15.       Administering compensation, leave programs and benefit plans

16.       Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes

17.       Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees to maintain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards conscripted by authorities

18.       Assisting with employee relations and conflict resolution.

19.       Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise

20.       Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace

21.       Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies

22.       Undertake tasks around performance management

23.       Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates

24.       Organize 90 day and annual employee performance reviews

25.       Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

26.       Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities

27.       Ensure compliance with labor regulations

28.       Develop workflows in print and video format for future training.

29.       Proactively supports all departments and management as strategic HR partner.

30.       Prepare correspondences via email, MS Word and Adobe PDF.

31.       Supporting all time management requirements for a complete payroll as requested.

Non-Essential Functions

§  As directed by the HR Director and or the Executive Team performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives.

§  Assist in any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

§  Must be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent computer skills.

§  Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and HRIS software.

§  Aptitude in problem-solving and resourceful thinking

§  Leadership and coaching skills

§  Strong empathy and interpersonal skills

§  Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

§  Attention to detail and analytically driven

§  Highly efficient in preparing documents, managing data and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

§  Must have excellent communication skills, oral and written.

§  Strong worth ethic to meet changes in responsibilities that will take place daily.

§  Capacity to work independently and as a team player.

§  Ability to research and effectively present information

§  Management skills to interact with staff and outside agencies.

§  Understand and adhere to the confidential requirements of UCHC.

 

Training, Education and Licensure:

§  Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree from accredited University in a HR related topic preferred

§  HR certification such as Professional (PHR), Senior Professional (SPHR) or Global Professional (GPHR) in Human Resources, preferred.

§  Three to five plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.

§  Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

§  Pushing and pulling objects up to 25 lbs.

§  Frequent wrist, hand and finger dexterity to perform fine motor function without tremor.

§  Full range of body motion including twisting body, pushing, pulling

§  Position requires light to moderate work with 25 lb. maximum weight to lift and carry.

§  Position requires reaching, sitting down for long periods or time, walking, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.

Work Schedule

§  You will generally be scheduled to work each day Monday through Friday, with starting times each day varying between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and ending time between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., as required to meet the operational needs of the company. There will be occasional Saturdays.
