We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who will provide generalist expertise and counsel in the areas of benefits administration and assist with audits, reconciliations of benefit accounts, data management, and perform back-up functions for Payroll.
What the HR Generalist will be doing:
Manage the administration and delivery of all employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system and for payroll deduction.
Verify the monthly premium statements and invoices, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Work with vendors to address and resolve benefit-related issues.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance on plan options in onboarding, and other relevant phases of employee life cycle.
Ensure benefits programs comply with applicable laws, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other relevant regulations.
Coordinate and conduct open enrollment sessions, educating employees about benefit options and changes.
Collaborate with insurance brokers and carriers to negotiate and renew benefit plans.
Prepare respective payroll reports as it relates to benefits, and reconciliations.
Perform Payroll back-up responsibilities when needed.
What the HR Generalist will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
HR or benefits certification (CBP, CEBS, CHRP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in HR.
Proficiency with HR Systems (Ceridian, ADP, Workday).
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The benefits the HR Generalist will receive:
Pay range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
