Hr Generalist

Hamister Group, located in downtown Buffalo, is hiring for a Human Resources Generalist. This position will serve as a point person for HR related services to support the healthcare and hotel properties in our portfolio.
Location:

• Corporate Office (downtown Buffalo)
• After ninety (90) days, there is a hybrid work model (split between some days in the office and some days working from home)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, disciplinary matters, performance management, training, and development.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
• Advises and provides guidance to managers and employees on company policy
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
• Implements new hire orientation.

Targeted Experience:

• Prior HR knowledge/experience in the combined areas of: Employee Relations, Benefits, Onboarding, Training, and/or Organizational Effectiveness.
• Must be a strong user of MS Office, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce advantageous.
• Experience interfacing with all levels, from front-line staff to senior leaders, with empathy and problem-solving mindset.
• Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
