We are seeking an HR Generalist to join an impactful nonprofit dedicated to providing children and youth with a safe and supportive environment to grow, learn, and thrive. As an HR Generalist, you will play an instrumental role in supporting that mission by ensuring our client has the talented and motivated staff needed to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including setting HR procedures, fostering a strong workplace culture, and coaching employees. ***THIS ROLE WILL BE COVERING A 3-6 MONTH LEAVE

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting effective communication.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and mentorship to employees to enhance their skills, performance, and career growth within the organization.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Monitor key performance metrics and offer insights for improvement.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to the organization to ensure alignment with ethical standards.
- Implementing a new payroll system (Paylocity) and other special projects
Key Qualifications:
- 2+ years HR experience
- Solid recruiting experience
- Solid Payroll background
- Paylocity experience is required
- Nonprofit experience a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
