DW Distribution an SBP Brand is currently looking for a HR Generalist to join our VALUES based organization. Essential Functions Statement(s):

• Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems.
• Administer background check and drug testing programs, complete new hire paperwork.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and on-boarding process for new employees.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws; advise and train managers on compliance with equal employment opportunity, non-harassment, accident reporting, etc.
• Administer performance management program, disciplinary procedures, and coaching plans when needed.
• Be a site safety champion and create a culture committed to a high standard of workplace safety
• Along with the Safety manager, help maintain the Safety data sheets and chemical lists.
• Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Along with the HR Manager, assist employees with leave of absence requests
• Create and coordinate employee activity programs.
• Coordinate and ensure monthly town hall meetings and safety committee meetings
• Conduct investigations on employee relation issues.
• Complete weekly tasks such as attendance tracking, employee records, reviews, etc.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development or related field required
• Preference for specialized training in staff management and relations, compensation programs, organizational development and planning, safety and wellness programs, training, and/or HR-related legal and regulatory details
• 3 years of human resources generalist experience may be substituted for educational requirement.

Knowledge and Experience

• 1-2 years experience in Human Resources Management or 3-5 years Human Resources work experience
• Clear understanding of employment laws and regulatory systems and requirements
• Demonstrated skills in a Windows environment (using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with ADP systems preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish required.
