Salary range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Position status and work arrangement: Non-exempt, part-time in San Diego, CA, and requires working at the office located in Carmel Valley at least 3 days per week.

Job Summary/Description:
The HR Generalist’s primary responsibility will be to support the HR department with a variety of tasks, including employee engagement initiatives, talent acquisition, new employee onboarding, and benefits administration. This position will report to the HR Director but may occasionally provide administrative assistance to Program Managers across the company.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Aid in the onboarding process for new employees at our San Diego office.
- Assist with talent acquisition efforts from start to finish.
- Gather content for the quarterly newsletter, including photos from company events.
- Organize and participate in group volunteer projects at various volunteer organization sites.
- Contribute to planning team-building and social events throughout the year, such as mid-summer events and end-of-year holiday parties.
- Collect certification documents and monitor annual training progress.
- Serve as a facilitator for employee recognition, life events, or milestones.
- Work closely with HR to gather and revise documents, and other HR initiatives.
- Conduct compliance data collection and submit annual reports.
- Review employee survey feedback and identify areas that require attention.
- Order merchandise and other materials for new employees.
- Provide general office support as needed.
- Assist in reconciling benefit invoices and other administrative HR duties.
- Keep the PTO calendar up to date.
- Order office and kitchen supplies as needed.
Required Qualifications / Essential Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Available to work 20-25 hours per week (3+ days per week) at the San Diego office.
- Must be able to work within the core business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. PST Monday - Friday.
- Possession of an associate degree in business, HR certification, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR-related roles.
- Exposure to payroll processing is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain company confidentiality are essential.
Physical Demands:
- Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must possess reliable transportation to arrive at work punctually.
