Position Title: HR Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager
Status and Rate: Full-Time at @$65,000 annually
Job Overview :
The Human Resource Generalist position is primarily responsible for the administration of the various Human Resources functions. Responsible for maintaining systems and files, communicating with plant management, data entry, employee relations, and communicating information and relaying information to all employees.
What Duties and Responsibilities you can look forward to as a HR Generalist:
- Provide expertise and leadership for the full scope of HR function e.g., resource planning & budgeting, compensation & benefits, performance management, career & talent development, employee engagement, recruitment, immigration, training & development and/or labor relation topics.
- Support managers and/or employees in employee relations procedures. Partnering with management to provide support in all personnel matters, as well as disciplinary measures and labor law concerns to ensure compliance with legal regulations and policies.
- Connect with people throughout the organization, keeping a focus on engaging the workforce.
- Lead employee engagement activities: employee activities committee, rewards and recognition programs, etc.
- Initiate and control the development and execution of employee relations strategies while balancing competitiveness with employee advocacy.
- Implement, apply, and control compliance with HR standards / guidelines / policies.
- Steer the annual organization and people review process including department organization, succession planning, employee satisfaction survey and employee development and training.
- Initiate and drive the continuous improvement of HR processes as well as projects to implement best practice in HR.
Job Requirements for a HR Generalist:
- Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline. PHR, SHRM-CP preferred.
- 6+ years progressive HR experience.
- Experience required with "PAYCOR" HRIS System and MS Office/Teams.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
- Extensive experience across several HR functions (training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, labor law, and recruitment).
- Safety focused, cost and time conscious.
