Primary Responsibilities
- Assists the Human Resources Director in providing technical support and advice for all human resources policies and procedures
- Strategically collaborates with HR team in developing new HR initiatives and takes a lead role launching those initiatives
- Guides and oversees FMLA and ADA leaves of absence
- Partners with managers regarding employee relations issues and guides them in the performance improvement process
- Monitors changes in HR laws and regulations and develops and amends company policies accordingly, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Audits human resources records, including employee files, ensuring accuracy, legal compliance and confidentiality of information
- Assists in recruitment efforts for specific positions
- Liaises with staffing agencies for temporary associates
- Drafts and assembles offer and termination packages
- Acts as primary backup for payroll and benefit administration
- Assists in directing the performance appraisal process
- Performs other duties, as assigned
