About your new role:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of administrative human resource activities under the direction of the Plant/Unit Manager and Human Resources Manager. Responsibilities include maintenance of personnel and training files, HRIS data/records entry and reporting, recruitment support, employee relations initiatives, and other employee activities/programs. This individual works with a variety of confidential information and data.
Your hours:
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week Monday through Thursday. Additional hours may be requested on an as needed basis. Set hours will be 9:00am – 2:00pm with one of the days 12:00pm-5:00pm.
What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in human resources, business, or communication strongly preferred.
- Experience in professional/office setting required. Prior experience working in human resources preferred.
- Continuing education in HR or equivalent experience/training preferred.
- Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and accurately complete assigned tasks with regular interruptions.
- Conduct work with a professional appearance and manner.
- Be resourceful and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Reasonable tact, discretion, self-expression, and a working knowledge of the organization.
- Must be very organized and able to switch priorities with minimal notice.
- Must be able to handle numerous projects on an ongoing basis.
- Strong PC proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
- Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent prioritizing and organizing skills.
- Must project a fair, professional image to employees and applicants.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication skills and reasoning abilities with sound judgment.
- Service-oriented.
