POSITION: HR Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
LOCATION: Plant Location
REPORTS TO: HR Generalist
STATUS: Hourly
Pay Range: $23 - $30
GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day processes by conducting New Hire Orientation,
administration of Company benefit plans, administering payroll, coordinates and schedules appointments and preemployment criteria testing, implements communication systems to ensure management and team members have access to information in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative assistance to the HR functions which includes creating, maintaining and up-dating
- documents, reports and records
- Maintains and creates spreadsheets that includes developing, entering, formatting, printing information, filing, and archiving in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Provides payroll and related information.
- Plans, prepares, and conducts new team member orientation to foster positive and safe attitude toward company Vision and Common Purpose
- Oversees attendance records/point system.
- Maintains and oversees personnel files ensuring compliance related to filing and confidentiality.
- Maintains team member information by entering and updating employment and status-change data through UKG payroll system.
- Ensures medical and indemnity claims are managed and coordinates LOAs/FMLA and return to work programs.
- Coordinates and assists with annual open enrollment process.
- Coordinates and administers team member events and activities.
- Assists in benefit related activity including enrollment, terminations, 401K, STD, LTD, annual open enrollment etc.
- Ensures compliance with existing state and federal government employment laws.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending education seminars/workshops, reviewing publications.
- Attends job fairs/career events including High Schools/Colleges to promote employment opportunities and attract talent.
- Collaborate with other HR team members across the division to identify best practices.
- Administrator of internal postings and transfer requests
- Responsible for communicating pertinent team member information via Communication Board, memos, and internal communication throughout plant facility.
- Informs HR Generalist/Managers of unusual problems and changes within the Human Resources Department.
- Makes recommendation for resolution of problems and advises of perceived needs to re-examine and/or alter policies to meet the goals of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 2 years HR experience is preferred
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices
- Ability to manage and prioritize time efficiently and effectively to complete projects and assignments timely and
accurately
- Demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
- High level of customer focus both internally and external
- Ability to multi-task and deal with team members with diverse background
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
