Overview:
Reports to the HR Manager to support and develop associate engagement and ensuring talent sourcing and development. Has sufficient expertise in specific areas such as payroll, benefits, associate relations to allow independent work and responsibility for the assigned subject matter. Also possesses and applies a general knowledge of human resources principles and subjects. Understands and supports associate policies and procedures. Also plays a vital role in front office administration. Must be well organized, maintain a professional demeanor, and maintain the trust and confidence of associates.
Responsibilities:- Assists with the recruitment of associates and the hiring process.
- Creates and maintains all associate personnel files in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate onboarding process including new hire orientations and paperwork.
- Greets visitors in a courteous and professional manner, directs them accordingly, and provides GMP and PPE information to ensure compliance with the plant visitor policy and procedures.
- Maintains attendance tracking system (absenteeism, vacation, leave of absences, FMLA); generates reports on a weekly basis.
- Processes weekly hourly payroll, and semi-monthly salary payroll, resolves errors, research associate payroll questions.
- Assist with the coordination of benefits programs; includes insurance and benefit enrollments and provides information and direction to associate benefit questions.
- Assists with coordinating temporary associates; includes dispatching temporary associates, submitting timecards, and processing invoices.
- Assists with planning and conducting meetings and events for the plant.
- Supports compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
- Completes monthly Safety training for all associates utilizing Alchemy.
- Completes office administration tasks, including facilitating the back door sales program, creating PO’s, ordering of ingredients and supplies for plant.
- Ability to work on production floor when needed.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- High school diploma plus additional study, associate degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years administrative experience, preferably in a HR related field.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities and work styles.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of PowerPoint, Kronos, & HRIS a plus.
- General knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles.
