Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing support for employee benefit programs and providing support for employees on a leave of absence. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, the ability to comprehend benefit administration, and the knowledge to navigate FMLA regulations to support the overall well-being and satisfaction of our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Sr. Benefits Coordinator with leave of absence management by sending communications to employees on leave, coordinating benefit premiums, recording call offs, and preparing internal reports for tracking.
- Collect medical leave requests and documentation, prepare required notices, forms, and letters.
- Process department payroll and other leave cases as assigned by the Sr. Benefits Coordinator.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, phone coverage, data entry, and scheduling meetings.
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related activities.
- Support HR Specialists in the areas of onboarding, wellness initiatives, and employee relations.
- Review all paperwork received for employee files prior to filing.
- Generate and maintain HR reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience within benefits coordination or human resources preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work Holidays that coincide with payroll processing.
