JOB SUMMARY
Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. Act as primary point of contact for HR related queries from employees and managers. Will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate employee records, processing status changes, and providing administrative support to the HR Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage the HR inbox, responding to emails promptly and directing queries to the appropriate person(s).
• Provide assistance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Maintain accurate and up to date employee records for office staff, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection policies.
• Organize and maintain physical and digital HR files, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
• Process and accurately enter employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers into the HR system.
• Work closely with HR leadership to ensure timely and accurate completion of HR tasks.
• Champion Universal Pediatrics to promote workplace culture, community involvement, and other benefits of joining Universal Pediatrics.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
• Participate in team meetings, Agency committees, goal initiatives, and other meetings or projects as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
• Perform other duties and projects as requested.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• 3 or more years of direct human resource experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience working in healthcare preferred.
• HRIS experience, ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and process information from multiple different sources.
• Ability to work and communicate professionally with all potential candidates, peers, coworkers, vendors, etc.
• Ability to work and communicate with team members and corporate team members.
• Ability to work well in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment laws.
• Ability to pivot tasks or duties on short notice based on business needs.
• Strong organization, time management, and influential skills.
• Advanced computer skills required, including MS Office products.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to approximately 20 pounds on daily basis and 50 pounds on occasion.
LISCENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
• CPR certification required but may be obtained post-hire.
• Valid driver’s license, with a good driving history.
• Proof of auto liability insurance coverage.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Personal office setting.

• May experience frequent interruptions.
• Adequate lighting for workspace, clean environment, and moderate noise levels.
• Travel details:
o Company car provided for travel.
o Company credit card for travel and marketing use.
o Travel arrangements booked through the Corporate Office Manager.
o Per diem rate for food and beverage for overnight or extended day travel.

Must work well as a team player, as well as work successfully independently. Must demonstrate a high degree of judgement in the application of staffing requirements and agency policies. Must exercise good initiative in the assignment of candidates. High degree of confidentiality is required.
