GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Family Nurse Practitioner in anticipation for a future position at Nellis AFB (Las Vegas), NV.
Job Qualifications:
Degree/Education: Must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national, state or military equivalent school (MSN or DNP degree) for Nurse Practitioner (Family and/ or Geriatric Specialty)
Experience: Have at least 24 months of experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last 36 months. Outpatient experience highly preferred though not required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS).
Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
Board Certification: Must hold a Nurse Practitioner certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Job Duties:
- Will maintain a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
- Responsible for a regularly appointed clinic, compatible with workload and, in addition, provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur. Shall have the capability to: o Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
- Perform a general physical examination.
