OVERVIEW
This is not your average HR position! As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for aligning business objectives with associates and management in designated business units. The HRBP will serve as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues and act as the associate champion and change agent. HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs while communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management. The HRBP will also provide continuous improvement support for business objectives and seek to develop integrated solutions to support internal processes and the overall business. The HRBP will develop, maintain, and sustain relationships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and associates that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Key areas of responsibility will also include the coordination of associate engagement activities, performance management, staffing and on-boarding, training and development, support for safety initiatives, policy formation and interpretation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership for HR initiatives and brokering the delivery of HR services within assigned client group Build trust and credibility with all levels in the organization: one on one or in a group setting to effectively coach and counsel them on performance and/or interpersonal deficiencies Act as consultant and coach for managers and associates concerning organizational structures, organizational development, and implementation of change; provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, and workforce planning Proactively develops, plans, and executes associate engagement activities to include facilitates Quarterly Meetings and Roundtables, follows up on action items from these communication/feedback
forums Owns the process of recruiting, selecting and on-boarding candidates within assigned client group Conducts needs-analysis to recommend training programs; coordinates and develops in-house training programs; participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met Conducts investigations when necessary; maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five (5) plus years of progressively responsible human resources experience, which includes background in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and policy management.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
- Master's degree a plus
- Will consider depth and seniority of human resources experience in lieu of college degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & HR systems (Ceridian/Dayforce is a plus)
- Project management skills
