As a HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Avery Dennison you will play a pivotal role in driving our people-focused initiatives and aligning HR initiatives with the overall business strategy within the functions you support. You will partner with functional leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide HR insights and solutions to drive organizational success. Your primary responsibility will be to create and execute HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, DEI, talent development, organizational design and effectiveness and workforce planning, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals.
This role will partner with the Label & Packaging Materials Commercial Functions. It will report to the VP, HR for the Materials Group North America (MGNA) division and will collaborate with other HRBP's and various HR COE's, including Talent Management & HR Operations and Workforce Support.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic People Planning: Collaborate with functional leaders to understand their strategic objectives and business challenges. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the strategic objectives including workforce planning, talent acquisition, development & succession planning.
- Talent Reviews: Lead & facilitate talent reviews and provide guidance to leaders as they develop the development plans for their teams and their overall succession plans.
- Employee Engagement: Work with leaders to understand and interpret our employee listening feedback. Implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction, continuously assessing and improving the employee experience.
- Organizational design and team effectiveness: As needed, support leaders in evaluating and evolving their organizational goals, processes, roles and structure to meet talent and business needs. Work to assess needs/gaps and partner with Sr. HRBP's & Talent Management COE as needed to address skill gaps and training needs.
- Change Management: Guide the teams through change initiatives by providing advice on change management practices, helping teams adapt to change, and ensuring effective communication.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Work with leaders to ensure they are demonstrating inclusive leadership and support diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a diverse and equitable workplace.
- Employee Relations: Partner with the Workforce Support team to understand employee relations (ER) climate, trends, and needs. Ensure that ER trends and themes are known and understood by functional leaders. Engage with Workforce support as needed on complex employee relations issues.
- HR Analytics: Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations
- Support digital transformation within the HR function and the overall organization. Lead with employee experience and digital mindset at the forefront.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR Business Partner or related roles.
- Proven experience aligning HR strategies with functional and/or business objectives
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and build strong relationships
- Proven organizational skills, ability to manage multiple strategic priorities
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
