Sentoria's Midstream Oil and Gas client located in Houston, TX is hiring an HR Business Partner who will support assigned departments with various human resource functions by providing front line response in the areas of employee relations, performance management, benefits, leaves of absence, training, compensation, recruitment, selection, record tracking, policy interpretation, procedure implementation and personnel actions.

- First point of contact for managers and employees on compensation programs, performance evaluations, talent management and development.
- Assists in resolving supervisoremployee related issues and resolves grievances.
- Recruits, interviews, and advises in the selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation.
- Plans and administers personnel policies relating to human resources.
- Ensures records are kept of personnel transactions including: hires; promotions; transfers; performance reviews; performance improvement plans, development plans and terminations.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Conducts workplace investigations regarding alleged violations of company policy and/or federal, state, local employment laws.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services including training; employee assistance; out-placement; and temporary employee services.
- Trains employees on HR issues and practices. Presents course materials.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
Job Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years minimum Human Resources experience, with experience in all employee related matters.
- Considerable knowledge of modern theory, principles, and practices of human resource and talent management.
- Thorough knowledge of employee classification, compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection, training, and employee relations.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in human resources, business administration, industrial psychology, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
