Sherman’s is looking for an HR Assistant that will help our HR team with a variety of administrative duties. Our current HR team is focused on creating a remarkable company culture rooted in development, accountability, and gratitude. As an HR Assistant:
- You’ll ensure that all necessary HR records are maintained.
- You’ll support our Accounting team with payroll prep.
- You’ll complete reporting for OSHA and other safety-sensitive records.
- You’ll work on special projects for the team.
- You’ll maintain our performance management system.
- You’ll prep and file paperwork for new hires and internal transfers.
As you can see, there will be a lot of compiling, entering, and filing data. There will be various projects with various deadlines, so extraordinary organizational skills will help you meet all your goals. As the ultimate team player that you are, you will be ready for whatever is thrown your way, all while knowing that you have all the support you need to be successful.
Here are the qualifications you’ll need:
- Associate degree in HR or equivalent work experience in HR required
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs and HR systems
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization
- Detail-oriented and the ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure with interruptions
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Prior basic accounting or bookkeeping experience desired
