A growing Japanese food manufacturer in Orange County seeks an HR & Administrative Assistant with bilingual skills in English and Spanish. This is a temp-hire opportunity offering great benefits.

  • $ 22.00 per hour, non-exempt
  • Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm

 

Requirements of the HR & Administrative Assistant:

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Some office experience preferred
  • Strong interest in Human Resources
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites
  • Organized with strong administrative skills
  • Versatile team-player
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with Japanese language and/or culture is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Responsibilities of the HR & Administrative Assistant:

  • Support day to day operations of HR functions
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Maintain employee records
  • Assist with employee requests regarding HR issues
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews
  • Help maintain OSHA safety compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state employee laws and regulations
  • Attend HR related seminars and webinars as needed
  • Assist with employee injury and worker’s compensation claims
  • Recruit temporary employees
  • Collect time and attendance records to support payroll processes
  • English to Spanish and/or Spanish to English translation support
  • Revise and maintain Employee Handbook
  • Help coordinate and execute company events and training sessions
  • Phone reception
  • Receive and support visitors and employees
  • Receive office packages and mail
  • Help organize and file invoices and payment checks
  • Purchase and restock office and break room supplies
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Employment Type: Temp-hire

Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm
