Housing Resource Analyst Specialist
Department: Community Programs
Reports to: Housing Resource Manager
Employment Status Classification: Full-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $17.00 per hour
Job Description Summary:
Housing Resource Administrative Specialist will work closely with the Community Programs Housing Resource management team to ensure the department is complying with Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and Housing Urban Development (HUD) program guidance, as well as internal workflows, processes, and procedures. This includes auditing participant files and applications, updating workflows, gathering data for outcomes, and monitoring program delivery. This position will also assist in other department processes, as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Complete monthly compliance audit of participant files and applications.
- Verify audited files have been appropriately corrected.
- Ensure internal workflows are up-to-date and accurate based on MSHDA and HUD guidance.
- Assist in keeping internal data up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepare outcome reports, spreadsheets, and tracking materials as needed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all workshop inquires.
- Attend workshops and group classes to ensure all required paperwork is gathered and completed accurately for participant files. This will include evening and weekend hours.
- Continue to refine skills and stay abreast related to best practices and program changes through additional training and community events as requested.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or public administration preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in previous position(s) relating to the required skills, abilities, duties, and responsible tasks of the position.
- Potential to complete multiple projects/tasks with a high level of accuracy while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to work unsupervised, demonstrating self-motivation, reliability and efficiency while organizing and prioritizing a diversified workload.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills highly desired.
- Conduct self in a professional behavior while handling confidential information documents.
- Following program guidelines and program parameters, while demonstrating flexibility to adapt to changes and deadlines.
- Possess proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Products. Working knowledge of the Coordinated Entry System (CES) and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) desired.
Travel:
This position required 10-25% travel.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This position requires the ability to work Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm in Oakland County.
- A minimum of 3 days weekly is required in the office.
- To work from home with pre-approval, the candidate must have a home office that allows for privacy and strong internet service.
