Days Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport North is seeking a Night Auditor at our 142 room hotel. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Front Desk Agent.
The Night Auditor will conduct the daily audit of guest charges and postings and sales activity to ensure financial controls are in compliance with brand standards. You will also be responsible for providing guests with assistance in the lobby during the check-in and check-out processes and throughout their stay.
You must be able to work Night Shift from 11pm-7am.
Responsibilities included, but not limited too:
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of all property receipts
- Following cash handling procedures as outlined by the accounting department
- Collecting payment at check out and provides change for guests as needed
- Performing all end of day front desk and night audit functions, including reviewing cashier audits for accuracy, balancing credit card postings to computer system, maintaining computer database integrity daily, and auditing of master bills
- Preparing balances, posts, and distributes all necessary reports on a daily basis , as well as preparing computer systems for the following day
- Embraces great service philosophy: gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Provides genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and works to resolve
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Excellent mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
- Thorough organization and supervisory skills proficient in accomplishing the task.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect, and analyze accurate information and resolve conflicts.
