As we gear up for the highly anticipated Spring 2024 opening of Athens, Georgia's first luxury, boutique hotel, Rivet House, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the success of this unique hotel will have 50 luxurious guest rooms, an upscale Italian restaurant and bar, a coffee bar and retail shop, and a 2800 square foot health and beauty spa

Nestled atop a 3,700-ft. high mountain, Skyline Lodge is surrounded by 50 magnificent acres of golden conifers and hardwoods in Highlands, NC lies Skyline Lodge from the design of Frank Lloyd Wright. The area abounds with hiking trails, navigable rivers, waterfalls, and foraging for mushrooms and berries.

As the Hotel General Manager at Skyline Lodge you will have 6+ years' experience managing full-service independent boutique hotels. You will have a passion for creating memorable experiences and engaging the local community.

You'll look after all aspects of the lodge including front office, housekeeping, rooms, food and beverage. As an ambassador of The Indigo Road, you'll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality, be a servant leader and authentically love what you do!

MAIN DUTIES

• Set the tone for guest experience by influencing and leading a positive, collaborative, and fun team environment where everyone is treated with respect and kindness
• Oversee, maintain and manage food and service quality
• Assess, implement and manage service standards by ensuring consistency across operational procedures
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
• Create and carry out strategic business objectives that mitigate risk and maximize profit across; recruitment, finance, legal, front office, housekeeping, and restaurant operations (FOH/BOH)
• Forecast financial trends to control labor, COGs, food, and beverage cost
• Partner with Senior Leadership Team to ensure a positive and collaborative environment
• Lead by example and set the tone for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the property

Requirements

WHAT TO EXPECT. IN THE LODGE, RESTAURANT, & ROOMS...

• Flexibility: Your schedule may vary (days, nights, weekends, holiday's) based on seasonality, covers, and hours of operation but in general you can expect to work 55 to 60 hours a week.

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of successful managing full-service hotels
• Thrive in fast-paced and boutique hotel environments
• Passionate about Internal Hospitality and embrace our core values
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Have exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Effective communicatioN AND collaboration skills and the ability to navigate important conversation
