Café Manager - / Reports to F&B Director of Restaurants

We are looking for a food and beverage professional with a passion for café spaces and a love of leading a team.? This position is an supervisory role that will include actively working in the space and producing product and service. Ideally, this person is looking to take their leadership skills to the next level.
The Café Manager will partner with Outlet Manager on Duty for the daily café operations as well as some back office tasks. The key element is to join in with the other food and beverage leaders in guiding the team towards the vision for the hotel and implementation of strategies to drive success at every level.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the visual presentation of the café space and the service provided is aligned with the hotel's identity
- Oversee the daily front of house operation of the hotel's café
- Provide a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA
- Making and serving café drinks, food items and alcoholic beverages
- Bussing tables and cleaning if needed
- Preparing side work lists and ensuring completion
- Assist in scheduling against forecasted revenue and hotel occupancy numbers
- Attend all hotel required meetings and training
- Motivate and empower associates to solve guest issues before their dining experience is complete
- Focus on guest satisfaction and own implementation of strategies to ensure success
- Provide excellent customer service by being readily available/approachable for all guests
- Ensure training and on-boarding of all new team members is thorough and completed in a timely fashion
- Participate in recruiting
Qualifications:
- 3 years of barista service experience
- 1 year of leadership experience at a high-volume cafe
- Experience working in hotel outlets environment strongly preferred
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to take ownership of issues
- Ability to embody and impart the Loren's unique culture to all associates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to bring all departments together to reach common goals
