- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years food service experience required. Hospital setting preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year lead or Supervisor experience required.
- Customer Service experience and good communication skills required.
- Supervises, motivates, rewards, directs, and counsels employees as appropriate, ensuring that department policies, procedures and time and duties are followed.
- Maintains required documentation, including schedules, evaluations, HACCP and equipment documentation, Quality Assurance Monitors, Performance Improvement, Disciplinary Action, Occurrence Reports and Employee Recognition.
- Monitors all areas for compliance with standards for food safety (Date & labeling, expiration dates, etc.) and sanitation and general safety, ensure that tasks are completed as assigned.
- Enforces and follows cash handling policies and procedures. Ensures cash reports are completed accurately and timely, while monitoring and reporting security issues to ensure retail operations are secure.
- Monitors Performance Improvement, QA, overtime, and helps control cost.
- Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Supervises patient trayline and retail outlets including Cafeteria, C-Store and Catering efficiently.
- Ensure that staff renders excellent customer service and quality service. Patient Rounding, Tray Assessments Tray Audits and Employee Competencies completed as assigned.
- Ensures that AYR guidelines are met. (Delivery times 45 min., scanning of trays tickets 95% compliance, tickets are not holding longer than 25 minutes, etc.) Ensure staff is in complete uniform. Pressed clean uniform, badge visible, skull cap, nonskid shoes, no jewelry, false or polished nails, no false lashes)
- Participates and completes all mandatory UT and Sodexo training. (FOSS, ICARE,TOPS, MyLearning, Food Safety, Physical Safety, Serve Safe, etc.)
- Ensure that all department recordkeeping is current, ( Residents dining room, night pantry, floor stock sheets, etc.) Department Goal of 95 on Press Ganey is attained).
- Work requires standing for long periods of time, crouching, reaching, and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require prior approval of the Vice President for Human Resources Administration, or his/her designee.
