Lifeline of Ohio coordinates and promotes organ, eye, and Tissue Donation across Ohio and is currently seeking a Donation Program Coordinator (DPC) to join our Hospital Development team.
Consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Lifeline of Ohio, this role will build strong partnerships with donor hospital leadership to facilitate a positive culture of donation. This position organizes and delivers high-impact, high-availability support services across all Lifeline departments with the goal of maximizing every donation opportunity. Sustaining a strong on-site presence with hospital partners to support the success of donation effort is pivotal in this role.
In collaboration with Lifeline leadership, the DPC assists with identification and development of strategic opportunities for assigned hospital partners to achieve strategic priorities for donation in alignment with hospital direction, needs, and goals. This position requires strong relationship building skills to influence the development and implementation of hospital donation processes.
Core Duties:
- Establish and cultivate relationship with hospital executive leaders exhibited through engagement and support of hospital donation process improvement.
- Ability to conduct a needs-based analysis for donor hospitals to align with Lifeline's strategic initiatives.
- Analyze trends in hospital performance metrics that measure the effectiveness of hospital partners. Prepare and present analytics on key donation metrics to all levels of hospital leadership and initiate the appropriate process improvement strategies to remove any barriers inhibiting donation.
- Revisit and review the effectiveness of donor hospital throughout the year to facilitate revision of goals and strategic actions utilizing internal scorecard.
- Develop mastery in donation process through immersion to identify and promote opportunities for internal and external process improvement.
- As the content expert, deliver comprehensive, real-time Lifeline support, including timely resolution of issues with hospital partners as they arise. Make sound judgement calls based on the unique needs of each situation.
- Anticipate hospital needs based on upcoming changes to clinical regulations, hospital policy and process revisions, and changes in hospital staff. Initiate the appropriate steps to address changes proactively.
- Schedule and conduct routine on-site relationship building at each facility to share information, identify and develop appropriate educational resources, and maintain hospital organizational awareness.
- Respond and follow-up on referrals timely and effectively according to Lifeline of Ohio procedural standards.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, or equivalent work experience in organ procurement, external relationship management, or consulting
- 5 years of applicable work experience
- Experience working with hospitals/in a hospital setting a plus, but not required
