We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scheduler. As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating appointments and ensuring smooth operations within our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical scheduling systems and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots and resources
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to schedule procedures, consultations, and follow-up visits
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions
- Update patient records with accurate appointment details and any changes or cancellations
- Collaborate with the staff to ensure seamless patient flow and minimize wait times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving scheduling conflicts
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Home Health office or similar setting preferred
- Proficiency in medical scheduling systems such as Homecare Homebase , or similar platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
