We provide Christ-centered, discipleship-oriented pathways and programs that restore dignity and wholeness to men, women, and children.
The Information Technology (IT) Department is dedicated to meeting the technical needs of UGMTC’s staff. This is done by the internal IT team of two working with outsourced relationships with IT, printer, cabling, tele-communications, security camera, and phone vendors.
LOCATION On-site in Saint Paul, MN 55103; Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting employment; Will service four sites in the Downtown Saint Paul area.
PHYSICAL SETTING Emergency shelter/transitional housing environment.

We are hiring a Help Desk Technician – Level 2.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Helpdesk Technician - Level 2 develops, supports, and maintains UGMTC’s computers including print, cabling, security cameras, and more. Both hardware and software.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and relationship skills.
- Help desk experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune admin center, admin Microsoft .com, and Microsoft Entra ID (AAD).
- MD-102 or MS-102 Certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- The Helpdesk Technician supports UGMTC’s statement of Christian faith and has desire to share that faith, prayer and knowledge with staff, volunteers, and Clients. Ability to demonstrate this in word and deed by supporting the ministry of UGMTC, attending a local church and commitment to prayer and study of the Bible.
- Demonstrate a courteous, high-integrity and Christ-like manner with internal and external partners and while performing all responsibilities.
- Experience working effectively with confidential information.
- Capable with Microsoft Office 365 and other applications.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively one-on-one and in group settings with a wide range of constituencies in a culturally diverse community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a high level of customer satisfaction through in-person, online and phone interactions, responding with the appropriate amount of urgency to user problems.
- Provide immediate support of Outages.
- Communicate effectively with Staff and Vendors.
- Engage in I.T. Projects.
- Maintain physical Asset Management
- Assist in the maintenance of basic computer hygiene.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for Windows and Office 365.
- Represents the Christian values and ethics of UGMTC when interacting with students, staff and vendors.
- Responds to questions regarding UGMTC’s mission, programs, and services.
- Participates in UGMTC sponsored spiritual enrichment activities, including staff prayer and devotions.
- At any time, with or without notice, performs other duties and activities as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work is performed in an emergency shelter/transitional housing environment and involves physical effort encountered in normal, everyday office activities.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, speak, and hear.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must provide own transportation and can move among 4 local sites (primarily downtown St. Paul).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may, on occasion, be exposed to angry or emotionally dysregulated Clients or visitors.
- All work is performed onsite.
