The Technician, Service Help Desk provides technical assistance on Technical Solution specific computer equipment and computer software. This role is the first point of contact for operators who needs technical assistance to maintain their production requirements. This position is also responsible for the support of daily computer operations within the Technical Solutions Service Department, troubleshooting and providing effective support services to Technical Solutions users, in addition to responsibilities including ensuring backup equipment is on hand to support production needs in the event of equipment failure and providing to input to management on new systems development.Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware
- Support the use of the National Service Shop Floor Control (NSSFC) system within the Technical Solutions department
- Maintain Technical Solutions Departmental PC's and related equipment
- Maintain the spare equipment inventory
- Maintain and support Technical Solutions' users with specialty equipment or software
- Ensure the function of all information systems equipment used in Technical Solutions' operations
National Service Shop Floor Control (NSSFC)
- Perform preventive maintenance to NSSFC to ensure optimum performance
- Advise Technical Solutions Management of any NSSFC performance issues
- Determine the optimal NSSFC database solution for end-users, based on details provided by the operator to ensure minimal production downtime
- Ensure that proper NSSFC database procedures are in place before implementing any new hardware systems
Reporting
- Run required reports from NSSFC
- Analyze common complaints and problems reported by Technical Solutions' Associates
Education
- Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) Electronic or Computer Technology; or a related field Required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years Working in a manufacturing setting helping to set up and maintain computer systems and networks Required
- Minimum 1 year Maintaining an enterprise level SQL database Preferred
- CompTIA A+ Preferred
- CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preferred
Software/Technical Skills
- MS Active Directory, MS Office 365, MS Windows OS (Server and PC/Laptop)Intermediate Required
- SQL and SSRS ReportingBasic Required
- Sharepoint website design and supportBasic Required

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $43,000-$50,000 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
