Job Title: Help Desk Supervisor
Reports To: IT Manager
Location: Remote to Eastern Region of U.S.
FLSA Status: Exempt/Salary
Position Status: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Schedule Varies and/or Subject to Change
Salary Range: $65k - $85k, commensurate with experience
Travel Time: 0-10%
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the Help Desk Support team as it pertains to all levels of contact within the organization
- Support the diagnosing and troubleshooting of technical problems, computer processing systems, installation of software and testing on computer equipment and programs.
- Maintains information technology strategies & protocols.
- Drafting general IT procedure manuals (i.e. tutorials, how-to-guides)
- Small percentage of travel may be required depending on project assignment.
- Regular worksite attendance in accordance with Company’s Attendance Policy is required for this position.
- Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
- Accomplishes information technology staff results.
- Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
- Other Duties As Assigned
- Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma with some college required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information systems or similar field recommended.
- IT Certifications preferred, but not required (A+ Certification, Linux+ Certification, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate, etc.)
- Relevant years of work experience and certification may substitute for degree requirement
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in a leadership role (including planning, monitoring results, coaching, counselling, discipline, and training)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical role (i.e. Help Desk, Technical Support)
- Relevant experience in matters related: Microsoft 365, knowledge of Azure and AWS is a plus. Networking, Driver updates, Flashing BIOS
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, Internet applications and security
- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to understand and convey Company Policies and relevant industry standards
- Ability to analyze and configure data for audit purposes
- Ability to identify trends
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
- Ability to handle all Department and Company matters with confidentiality and in a timely matter
- Ability to effectively communicate while exercising diplomacy, sound judgment, and tact
- Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, department supervisors and managers, and other consultants and/or vendors
- Ability to meet deadlines on time with minimal supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on various departmental project deadlines and/or Company sponsored programs
