Experience working with Recycling, Waste Collection, and Landfill Vehicles preferred
Maintains a working knowledge of the following vehicle and equipment components and systems, with the ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance functions:
- Chassis component repair and maintenance
- Refuse bodies and Heavy Equipment, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air and hydraulic braking systems
- Engine repair and maintenance
- Suspension, drive-train and steering systems; and Heating and air conditioning
- Safely provides road service when necessary to ensure that our equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication
- Identifies the source of the malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Some welding experience preferred
- Working knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations
- Strongly prefer prior supervisory/management experience
