Job Summary

The Healthcare Practice Management Systems Manager is responsible for providing oversight in all electronic Practice Management solutions. The Manager will maintain and make sure Practice Management workflows are efficient, effective, and compliant. Provide support and guidance for Operations and Revenue Cycle department to optimize Practice Management solutions effectiveness and efficiency.

Education
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor degree in business, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field or in lieu of degree, related professional certification and work experience.

Preferred:

  • Master degree in business, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field or in lieu of degree, Certification in Computer Information Systems or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum Five (5) years of experience with Practice Management solutions, preferably NextGen
  • General Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) knowledge in the following areas : RCM/Billing Setups and Configurations, including claims, statements, and remittances; RCM related reporting; Clearinghouse technology
  • Knowledge of Insurance eligibility.
  • Current coding knowledge including CPT, ICD-10 and E&M.
  • Knowledge of FQHC Billing
  • Knowledge of Sliding Fee Scale
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Compliance
  • Knowledge of EPM Billing documentation and standard systems interface technologies.

Preferred:

  • Service Desk experience in a healthcare environment

Other

  • Driver's license with the State of Washington.
  • Motor vehicle insurance liability policy, a certificate of deposit, or a liability bond to the required limits.

Job Specific Functions/Performance:

  1. Responsible for the successful implementation, realization and optimization of Practice Management processes and associated applications As part of a collaborative team
  2. Completes system build tasks and/or supports build team resource activities with Operations and RCM knowledge to ensure the billing perspective is integrated into the validation session, design, build and testing of new solutions.
  3. Works directly with Operations, Revenue Cycle, and IT teams to achieve successful integrated implementations and upgrades.
  4. Provides support and guidance for Practice Management Revenue Cycle Builds.
  5. Optimizes Practice Management solutions effectiveness and efficiency.
  6. Provides oversight to the HIS Department.
  7. Monitors project timelines for successful execution of the plan.
  8. Monitors and assists with issue resolution and risk mitigation efforts to ensure issues are resolved or escalated appropriately for timely resolution.
  9. Identifies barriers to projects’ success and supports risk management planning.
  10. Provides resource support and collaborates on workgroup-specific project tasks.
  11. Drives Ticket Deep Dive and develop strategies for improvement.
  12. Participates in gap analysis and system testing for upgrades and fixes.
  13. Manages vendor relationships as it depends on daily operational needs.
  14. Establishes procedures and processes that support departmental standards, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  15. Reviews survey feedback to improve services, tools and support experience.
  16. Adheres to attendance standards in order to perform the job functions for daily operations and/or continuity of patient care.
