Job description

Position Summary:
The Healthcare Content Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining a wide range of medical and technical documents that are critical for the understanding and effective utilization of our products and services. This role will translate complex, medical and technical information into clear and concise, and user-friendly materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, engineers, and designers, to produce a variety of medical and technical documents including user manuals, instruction guides, clinical protocols, product specifications, clinical trial summaries, and more
  • Stays current with medical and healthcare industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant guidelines
  • Reviews and edits technical documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the company’s writing style and quality standards
  • Creates user-friendly and audience-appropriate content that simplifies complex medical and technical concepts for healthcare professionals and end-users
  • Maintains and organizes a repository of all medical and technical documents, making them easily accessible to internal and external users
  • Implements rigorous quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of documentation quality and accuracy
  • Ensures that all documentation complies with relevant industry regulations, including FDA requirements, if applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as FDA regulations, DEA, USPA and other relevant medical guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex medical information for various audiences
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency in all documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer centric solutions

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Medical Writing, Life Sciences, English, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience in the medical industry
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in technical writing within the medical or healthcare sector, with an understanding of medical terminology, processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and software, including Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant platforms for medical writing
