This Associate Director of Education and Evaluation (AD/EE) position within the GRECC office of Geriatrics and Extended Care, is located at Salt Lake City Healthcare System. Incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and conducting both formative and summative program evaluations, curriculum development, and leading geriatric education and training activities related to the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) research, education, and clinical programs.Qualifications: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/22/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Individual Occupational Requirement: For positions at grades GS-12 and above involved in professional work in grants administration, qualifying experience is considered to be experience in grants administration in areas of science, medical and health care fields similar or related to the work of the position. Such experience must have involved professional judgement of a kind and level of difficulty and responsibility essential to successful performance in the position to be filled (Deputy Associate Chief of Staff).

- Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-13 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Candidate must have human research experience at the senior-management level with a PhD, equivalent or higher education level who demonstrates knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully lead research activities on fiscal, operations, and administrative requirements. Certifications and credentials in Contracting, Procurement, and/or Grant Management are essential. AND,
- Education: Applicants must have education within the normal progression of this field. For a GS-12 in Research & Development Service, this is a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

Physical Requirements: Must be in overall good health, able to sit at a desk working at a computer, engage in light to moderate physical activity including sitting, walking, bending, and carrying supplies. Must be able to perform primarily light to sedentary duties with occasionally moderate physical demands, exercise patience, and control emotions, with reasonable accommodation if necessary, without endangering the health and safety of self or others. Position requires walking throughout the Medical Center, standing for extended periods of time, and involves sitting at a computer and in counsel and consultation with subordinates, Supervisors, other employees, and stakeholders. This position also requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
