About This Position
This is a fulltime benefitted position responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Health Information Management department, assisting with maintaining completeness, accuracy and confidentiality of Health Information by ensuring compliance with the department's and company's policies and procedures. Also coordinates services across the multi-facility integrated healthcare system and serves as a working manager, covering for staff within department when needed.

Formal Education, Certification/Licensure, and Prior Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
Required:
- RHIT certification within two years of employment.
- Significant medical records experience in a healthcare setting
Desired:
- Graduate of an accredited college program in Health Information administration
- RHIA certification
- Seven years HIM experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Two years supervisory experience within a HIM department
