- Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training and competition.
- Recruits student-athletes in accordance with NCAA and RMAC rules and regulations through scouting, attending tournaments, and home visits.
- Directs all aspects, areas and components of the sports team.
- Coordinates all strategic aspects of the specific sports program.
- Represents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
- Manages all daily operations and coordinates all administration facets of the specific sports program.
- Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the specific sports program.
- Organizes all fundraising activities of the specific sports program.
- Arranges team competition schedule and team travel.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- Experience: Three (3) years coaching experience
- Education: Master's Degree in any field and collegiate coaching or playing experience
- Experience: Five (5) years coaching experience at the collegiate level, or
- Three (3) years coaching experience and a Coaching C License or higher
- Must the NCAA Coaches Curriculum within the first two (2) weeks of employment
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and odd hours as required.
- Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules;
- Ability to lead and motivate student athletes;
- Knowledge of NCAA student athlete academic eligibility requirements;
- Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in area of sporting specialty;
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills;
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
- Knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules;
- Knowledge of travel/lodging planning and scheduling;
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment;
- Ability to organize and coordinate;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
