Background
Knaq builds IoT monitoring technology for a range of industrial equipment that combines custom-built hardware with cloud-based analytics and AI. Our monitoring devices send real-time data to a remotely-accessible data dashboard that presents live equipment information, sends alerts, and conducts predictive analytics. We work with leading airports, transit systems, hospitals, cities, real estate firms, property managers, and other critical infrastructure to keep their equipment operational.
We’re looking for a motivated sales professional to join our small, engineering-focused team as the eighth employee. Compensation will include salary, equity, and commission. Position is full-time and in-person in Lower Manhattan, New York City.

You're a proven performer in sales within a tech-focused environment, eager for a role with greater responsibility and ownership. You thrive in managing the full sales cycle, skilled at both detail-oriented tasks and big-picture strategies. You have the pedigree to work on a small team with limited direct oversight.
Motivated by ambitious sales targets, you are excited about exceeding these goals. This position will be driven by top-of-the-funnel prospecting, and offers the opportunity to play a key role in steering the trajectory of our fast-growing company by building our entire sales effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire sales cycle, from lead generation/prospecting to closing deals, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the IoT and industrial equipment monitoring sector.
- Lead sales initiatives targeting airports, public agencies, and other potential clients, leveraging knowledge of long sales cycles.
- Collaborate closely with our technical team to understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of our technology.
- Work on direction and design of Sales materials, including decks and collateral.
- Work with leadership to prioritize and design sales efforts for new markets where Knaq’s existing technology can be applied.
Expected experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or international equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, go-to market, account management, or related field.
- Any experience selling IoT devices, or to our target customers is a bonus, but not a requirement by any means.
Compensation
Compensation is a combination of a base salary ranging from $80,000 to $140,000 depending on qualifications and experience, commission on sales, and equity.
