Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, NY is seeking a Head Tennis Professional to oversee its tennis facility. The club features five beautiful Har-Tru tennis courts and pro-shop. The courts are traditionally open from the beginning of May through September. Seasonal F/T or P/T hours can be arranged for the right individual.

The ideal candidate will have a dynamic personality with the ability to teach both private and group lessons. They also must administer and be visible to tennis center events that will enhance the success of the programs. The Tennis Professional must also have experience in youth programs & development.

He or she must be an excellent instructor with at least two years of experience in the tennis field. The candidate will be passionate about the game of tennis, proactive, self-motivated and have a friendly personality and excellent communication skills. The position will require some evening and weekend availability.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-year experience of instructing tennis
• Must have the ability to grow programs
• Capacity to teach players of all ages and ability
• Responsible for organizing the daily maintenance of the courts
• Assists with the opening and winterization of the tennis facility including wind screens, irrigation etc.
• Ability to organize tournaments, team and league play, clinics, camps and special programs for members and guests of all ages and ability
• Exceptional customer service skills, friendly, outgoing and positive attitude to provide member satisfaction for all age groups

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Choose your own hours
• Weekends as needed
