J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Global Head of Investments Technology at a Global Asset Manager. We are seeking a senior, high caliber and highly motivated Investment Technology Professional with strong investment management knowledge and track record of successful delivery to join the growing team – This individual can be optionally located in their New York City or Philadelphia office.

They are seeking a senior, talented, and highly motivated Global Head of Investments Technology with strong investment management knowledge and track record of successful delivery to join their growing team in the US.

An exciting opportunity to work with key business and technology stakeholders to drive strategic decisions across the entire asset management technology landscape. The Head of the Investments Technology will define and deliver technology solutions to advance the investment management lifecycle processes.

The Head of the Investments Technology will be responsible for defining the future-state investment technical environment for the Global Asset organization and be responsible for facilitating the conversion of strategies to actions and identifying ways to optimize technology capabilities and performance to support the global asset management platform.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver technology solutions to advance investment management lifecycle processes, including portfolio analysis / construction, order management and trade execution, pre-trade compliance, performance / attribution analysis, portfolio risk analysis, cash management and quant research.
• Develop senior stakeholder relationships with investment teams to gain and utilize a deep understanding of the firm's investment business flows and how the business wins to increase productivity by transforming current business models with innovative technology.
• Become a valued partner with business stakeholders by anticipating and proposing alternative solutions to help business extend their reach.
• Manage and lead a global DevOps team to provide end-to-end design, delivery and operation of applications and solutions.
• Develop and control platform priorities, budget, and resourcing requirements.
• Run the platform in line with the bank's policies and architecture standards to ensure technology risks are understood, communicated, and effectively mitigated.
• Champion technology excellence, practice, and innovative technologies to automate, simplify and innovate the technology landscape.

The ideal candidate would have a background including:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with front office order management and trading systems such as Blackrock Aladdin, Investor Tools Perform, Factset Research, etc.
• Extensive domain knowledge and experience in asset management capabilities such as fixed income, equities, currency, hedge funds, multi-asset and affiliated managers.
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies, Agile Methodologies and back-end and front-end development.
• Entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and self-directed with a strong delivery mindset.
• Able Articulate complex technical problems and their solutions simply to all levels of stakeholders.
• Creating and leading, high-performing delivery teams and proposing and achieving successful outcomes for an asset management business.
• Adept at engaging, collaborating and influencing people at all levels and areas of financial services organizations
• Experience in program and delivery management, including budgets and forecasts.
• Proven ability to collaborate across global teams, managing time zones effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Salary range for this position: $250,000 –400,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
