Head of European Business Development

The Head of European Business Development is responsible for business growth within the European market and the successful realization of cross-divisional revenue across the market. The position provides leadership oversight to the European Business Development team, drives revenue growth by owning, driving, and growing their own book of business, and plays a crucial role in creating and executing the growth and expansion strategy for the European market.
Responsibilities:
    • Build and lead a high-performing, results-oriented European Business Development team
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and establishing & nurturing strategic partnerships with key clients
    • Stay informed about relevant European market trends, industry dynamics, and client needs and translate the data into revenue-realizing opportunities
    • Create a strategic growth roadmap / strategic account plan for each assigned account to grow the RQM+ business across all Business Units for those accounts
    • Identify and facilitate client discussions such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for key accounts
    • Identify key customer stakeholders and C-Levels that are critical decision makers for long-term partnership opportunities
    • Develop forum to conduct open client dialogue to help both sides improve ability to work together which will result in improved long-term partnerships
    • Be the bridge between commercialization and operations across all RQM+ divisions to ensure alignment and a cohesive team that is client focused
    • Develop and maintain, in coordination with relevant corporate functions, appropriate metrics and reporting to track RQM+'s performance within the European market and across all BUs
    • Participate in developing the sales/commercial strategy, and execution of that strategy within assigned accounts
    • Participates in the development of the annual revenue target at the regional and global level to achieve company revenue
    • Be an active member of RQM+'s Commercial Leadership Team, developing and executing strategic business plan and annual corporate objectives
Requirements:
    • Bachelors' degree required in related field; Master's Degree, preferred
    • Extensive experience selling medical device / diagnostic (preferred) and/or Life Science services market
    • Consultative or service selling experience within the Life Science industry required
    • Previous experience in a sales or sales management role within the European market required
    • Strong knowledge in the areas of regulatory, quality, clinical trials, clinical laboratory services or reimbursement strategies
    • Advanced computer skills including business applications
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience required
    • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
    • Strong Business Acumen, with the ability to think strategically and respond appropriately to customer and employee needs
    • High performance, detail orientation, strong organization skills and market knowledge, required
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills as well as experience working collaboratively with clients, employees, and outsiders
    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with customers at all levels and articulate customer needs accurately
    • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
    • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
    • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
    • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel at least 25% of the time
