- Creates and maintains an exceptional golf and social experience for Sunriver Golf Club members and Resort Guests.
- Oversees and manages all functions of the Meadows golf shop, practice facility, golf cart fleet, and rental equipment.
- Operates and maintains a reputable golf shop and practice facility.
- In partnership with Director of Golf and Woodlands Head Golf Professional, provides leadership for all golf tournaments and events, working closely with event coordinators and management team.
- Coordinate and execute all Member and outside golf events planned by Club Management.
- Responsible for increasing Member retention by fostering relationships between members, increasing member participation, and increasing member revenue spend.
- Meet with potential members, follow up on all membership inquiries, and send membership information upon request.
- Execute all member communication including but not limited to electronic newsletters, email blasts, and member website.
- Maintain all membership records including membership database and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly membership reports as needed.
- Accurately answer any member questions regarding their membership account.
- Pay all invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor time punches in UKG, ensuring accurate payroll for all Meadows golf staff.
- Supervises the proper charging of green fees, range fees, and retail fees.
- Provides competent golf instructions for all groups and levels of players.
- Manages rental program, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment.
- Supervises the operation of the handicap system.
- Effectively coordinates and executes golf tournaments.
- Supervises the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of golf staff.
- Maintains a professional image for self and team in keeping with the high standards of Sunriver Resort.
- Maintains a strong morale and spirit throughout team.
- Responsible for reinforcement of department and company standards through training.
- Completes all proper new hire and termination paperwork.
- Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
- Works with HR to recruit and hire staff.
- Manages timely completion of performance reviews.
- Prepare operating and capital budgets for the Meadows and ensures operation within those guidelines.
- Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
- Maintains safe and pleasant work environment.
- Prepares and conducts staff meetings as required.
- Responsible for equipment purchase, storage, inventory, and their respective maintenance.
- Maintains strong knowledge of hospitality trends, focusing on golf.
- Complies with all Sunriver Resort’s policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations.
- Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetings.
- Responsible for the achievement of department goals and objectives.
- Provides general resort information for guests.
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guest.
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary.
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude.
- Communicates all pertinent information to team members and appropriate resort staff.
- Maintains a professional appearance and follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards.
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues always.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent required
- Four-year degree preferred.
- PGA Class A member in good standing required.
- Strong knowledge of the game of golf required.
- Ability to play golf at a reasonable level required.
- Prior experience at a high-fee private or resort golf club preferred.
- At least two years management experience preferred.
- Must have a valid Oregon drivers license and meet company driving standards.
